Chief River Foundation

Susie and I are proud to announce the formation of the Chief River Foundation.

At the end of our shipping season we typically end up with a variety of trees that have not sold. The numbers are too small to replant so we have been giving them away to a variety of non-profit groups such as the Boy Scouts, ABATE, and area churches. We have given trees to municipalities that have been affected by tornadoes. Ladysmith and Siren Wisconsin are examples. These trees will be available around the middle of May 2006.

To qualify, send a letter to us on your letterhead with newspaper clippings of your tree loss. If you are a church or other non-profit write us indicating the need. In both cases I would like to know who is responsible for planting. You will be responsible for the shipping at our cost. We will package them at our cost. Decisions on free trees will be ours alone and you will be contacted regarding available species and numbers available. We prefer large projects needing hundreds of trees.
