The average survival rate for planted trees and shrubs is 80-90%. This applies to almost all plants, regardless of if they are young or more mature. It would be rare to experience a 100% survival rate on any type of live plant.
Many factors go into the survival rate. Someone who plants and cares for their trees correctly is much more likely to boost their survival rates than someone who plants them and leaves them to fend for themselves.
